The Process

  • 1. Discovery + Fit Check

    We start with a discovery call to align on style, needs, and expectations. From bespoke fabrics to woven shades, we walk you through our process to ensure we’re the right fit.

  • 2. The In-Home Consultation

    At your in-home consultation, we measure, photograph, and assess how window treatments can enhance your space. Every detail—from light control to color, pattern, and texture—is chosen to complement the room as a whole, ensuring each fabric supports the larger design story.

  • 3. Fabric & Design Selection

    We curate a selection of fabric from our extensive library. Our sources range from iconic, time-tested purveyors to niche artisans who create hand-blocked textiles.

  • 4. Professional Measure & Ordering

    Once selections are finalized, we arrange a professional measure, create scaled drawings, and place orders. We oversee fabrication to ensure every detail is executed with precision.

  • 5. Installation & Final Adjustments

    In 6-12 weeks, your custom window treatments are installed. Our installer will handle every detail, making final adjustments, steaming, and fine-tuning the placement to be sure that your drapes perfectly “kiss” the floor.

How will you figure out our aesthetic?

We start with an in-depth style questionnaire, which we’ll review together during our first meeting. From there, I use over twenty years of interior design experience to guide you—helping uncover not just what you like, but what truly resonates with your lifestyle, your home, and how you want to feel in your space. It’s a collaborative process, but I do the heavy lifting so it feels effortless on your end.

Do you specialize in a specific style?

While we don’t limit ourselves to one specific style, we specialize in tailoring the design to fit your home’s architecture and your personal aesthetic—whether that’s traditional, modern, or a refined mix of both. Every window treatment is custom and thoughtfully designed to complement the overall story of your space.

Can you create complementary bedding, pillows, bench cushions, etc.?

Yes—we can customize anything we can dream up, from bespoke bedding and pillows to bench cushions and beyond. Every piece is designed to complement your window treatments and elevate the overall look and feel of your space

How will you determine what kind of functionality will work for us?

We start with a tour of your home and ask detailed questions about how you live in each space—everything from privacy needs and lighting preferences to how you use the room throughout the day. From there, we tailor the functionality to fit seamlessly into your lifestyle.

Do you offer consultations?

We offer a complimentary discovery call to discuss your needs, vision and investment range. For an in-home initial consultation, we charge a $250 fee, which is fully refundable toward any window treatment purchase over $5,000.

At what point during a renovation or redesign should we reach out to you?

Ideally, it’s best to reach out early in the renovation or redesign process—once your layout and design direction is set. This allows us to collaborate with your contractor, ensuring that window treatments are integrated seamlessly into the overall vision. By involving us early, we can ensure the perfect balance of style, function, and proportion in relation to other design elements, from furniture placement to lighting.

How is the timeline determined?

Our typical timeline is 6-12 weeks from the start of the order.

Should we do everything at once? How will we know what to prioritize?

As an experienced interior designer, part of my role is guiding you on how to prioritize your spaces. We can approach your project one room at a time or in phases, based on what feels most comfortable for you. The key is that we create a clear plan and timeline, so you feel confident and organized throughout the process.

How often do you communicate with us throughout the project?

Communication is key to a smooth project. We provide bi-weekly updates to keep you informed every step of the way, ensuring you’re always in the loop!

Will you work out of state?

Yes—depending on the scope of the project, we’re happy to travel. For the right fit, we offer out-of-state services and bring the same attention to detail and personalized experience wherever the project takes us.
